Tales for Tiny Tots 1- Fairy Cups and Troll Cups

Hola,

Did you people miss me? I am sorry but I was so busy. Anyway this blog is all about 'Tales for Tiny Tots'. I made up the first one for my sister and since then I have made two more. They are a bit big so I am going to write each in a series, that too just a gist.

The first one is called "Fairy Cups and Troll Cups"

A Fairy Flower is the world's most beautiful thing.  The stem is gold, the leaves beaten silver and the flowers are platinum with topaz-like pollen grains. But the most beautiful thing weren't these, it was the sepal. Made of a....substance(I am not sure this is the word I want, but oh well!) more beautiful than anything engraved on it were pictures that made you happy and feel glad to be alive. But for this to become a Fairy Cup it had to be found and not plucked by a fairy, thinking good thoughts as a Fairy Cup has the ability to make our wishes come true.

This story takes place long back when human beings(why not humen?) were best friends with fairies. The King at that time was King Trovallani  who had a very clever minister called Rothen. Now Rothen made the mistake of falling in love with a fairy which they detest as they do not like being attached to anything. After his harsh heartbreak Rothen turns bitter towards the Fairy Race and plants in King Trovallani's mind an idea, or the idea, that brought the downfall of a most intimate friendship.

He advises the King to steal a Fairy Cup.

The King  was aghast at first but when Rothen, his trusty minister kept on insisting he decided to.
The next time he had tea with Queen Meg(who is the Fairy Queen) he slips in a bit of mint in her cup, mint being something which makes fairies fall asleep. He then rushes to the Fairy Grove and plucks a flower, thinking greedy thoughts.

He hears a horrified sound and turns around to find Queen Meg there(because Queen Meg was the fairy queen she was not as heavily affected and Trovallani could not bring himself to put in a lot of mint). She says in a disgusted tone that because of human greed the fairies will have to leave. She also adds brokenly, in between tears, that King Trovallani would see himself changed into the most disgusting creature, the kind who hides from sunlight and is antonymous to happines- a Troll( Queen Meg and all the loyal subjects used to call the King that).

And she does what she said. But because she knew that human beings would forget the fairies due to the curse she creates the Hibiscus flower with a huge sepal.

Who knows perhaps if we are really good our wishes might come true!
